About OUTRIDER
Featuring Tim Huff on lead vocals with John Russell on guitar, Steve Kennedy on bass, Pete Bowman on drums, OUTRIDER is a traditional Zeppelin-esque 4 piece, guitar-based, classic rock band. An OUTRIDER concert features intense guitar and high-flying vocals backed up by the driving groove of bass and drums. Complimented by a few street-level originals, the band’s re-workings of popular rock staples provide audiences with an energizing balance of familiar songs to sing along to, air guitar over, or dance to. This is counter-balanced by a handful of beloved rock ballads. OUTRIDER thoughtfully chooses to cover songs with themes about celebration, love, survival and hope.
About the El Mocambo
The legendary El Mocambo, located in the heart of Toronto’s bustling Chinatown is one of Canada’s most iconic music venues. During the late 1970’s the El Mocambo quickly became Canada’s premierre showcase destination, hosting the likes of The Rolling Stones, U2, Blondie and Stevie Ray Vaughan, to name a few. In 2014, Michael Wekerle, a Toronto financier and philanthropist announced that he was buying the building and vowed to restore the El Mocambo and its famous “neon palms” to their former glory. Hiring an A-list team of music industry veterans to bring his vision to life, “the new Elmo” features the very best audio and visual experience for live entertainment. The El Mocambo’s Under the Neon Palms main hall (where OUTRIDER and guests will perform) is regarded as one of the best sounding rooms in the world!
